NCASHOF invites nominations for athletes, coaches, teams, pioneers, mentors, and contributors whose achievements shaped sport and community.
A credible nomination starts with evidence and story.
The strongest submissions explain what the nominee accomplished, why it mattered, and how their work advanced Chinese American sports history. Include links, records, news coverage, photos, letters of support, or any materials that help the selection committee verify and understand the nominee's contribution.
Nomination Categories
Use the category that best describes the nominee's primary contribution. If more than one applies, include that context in the reason for nomination.
Athletes and Teams
Competitors or programs recognized for achievement, leadership, records, championships, or historic firsts.
Coaches and Mentors
Leaders who developed athletes, strengthened programs, and shaped character through sport.
Pioneers and Builders
Individuals who opened doors, organized institutions, advanced access, or helped build lasting opportunity.
Community Contributors
Officials, organizers, journalists, donors, advocates, and volunteers whose work moved sports culture forward.
Student-Athlete Awards
Emerging leaders with notable athletic performance, academic excellence, service, and character.
Legacy Recognition
Historic figures whose stories deserve preservation even when records or materials require additional research.
How the Process Works
Submissions should be complete enough for the committee to begin review and follow up with confidence.
Before you submit
Gather the nominee's full name, sport or field, achievements, a short biography, your relationship to the nominee, and the clearest reason they should be considered.
Identify the nominee
Provide name, role, sport, era, location, and Chinese American sports connection.
Document achievement
List awards, records, leadership roles, milestones, media coverage, and community impact.
Explain significance
Show why this story should be preserved and who was inspired or served by the nominee's work.
Submit for review
Send the nomination and be available for follow-up, verification, photos, and supporting materials.
